The Rocket's character and reputation just keeps getting better doesn't it ? After defending his name in Congress against allegation of doping with steroids during his professional baseball career, Roger Clemens was exposed to be a liar hell bent to deny his involvement to the bitter end.
The Daily News dropped a bombshell about Roger Clemens and his "SECRET AFFAIR." Their exclusive reports that for a decade, the Rocket had been carrying on with country singer Mindy McCready.

Is All Lost Already For The Tigers In The First Week Of April ?
An 0-6 start. An anemic offense. Woeful pitching. The second highest payroll in Major League Baseball. Should the Tigers be worried? No they shouldn't be worried. They should be shitting bricks. What's wrong with the 2008 Tigers ?

Even with a $137.5 million, Johan still knows how to pitch.
While it was only one game, New York fans can rejoice. Their major offseason acquisition showed a little of why he has been one of the most dominant pitchers of the last few years. Through the first 3 innings he threw a total of 33 pitches and gave up no hits. He was on a roll. The only thing that might have slowed him down ... the Mets offense. In the top of the 4th the Mets sent 10 men to the plate, scoring six times. If the bottom of that inning Johan gave up his first hit, a two-run home run. Overall, Johan went 7 innings, gave up three hits and struck out eight including the first and last batters he faced.
It was the first time in the history of the New York Mets franchise that one of their pitchers debuted with pitching more than 7 innings and giving up 3 hits or less. This prompted manager Willie Randolph to say at his post game press conference, "he threw better than he looked." For at least one game he helped Mets fans forget about their historic collapse to end last season. |
