Tommy Johnagin is so cruel yet so precise in his evaluation of the Top Ten Hottest Chicks. This segment is from Rooftop Film Comedy, which highlights comedy acts from any club on any given night performing around the world. They are a great source of edgy comedy. The subject covered in this routine made me laugh and then got me thinking. Actually, it originally ticked me off, but then again I am a woman and therefore given the freedom to change my mind without notice or reason (which is a subject I can touch on at another time in another place). I greatly appreciate that this dorky comedian at least realizes he does not have a chance in hell of getting with any totally hot chick let alone one in his or any guys top ten. In other words, there are no invites coming from the Playboy Mansion with this dude’s name on it.
But what I loved and loathed at the same time was his right on the spot conversation with his better half. Even when I have committed the same offense, I have never understood why woman ask dumb questions. The classic example highlighted in this skit is, “Am I in your top ten?” Most men skirt the issue and give some ridiculous answer that estrogen charged females buy into. The answer should just be a simple “Um, no.” If this does not work you can always try the example given by Tommy when he says “Look up, look at me …” My advice would be to only go this route if you are brave enough to spend some time with an icepack on your nuts as apposed to your woman. Just so you are aware guys, women will clearly tell their boyfriends that they are not a part of her top ten. Women never have to break the bad news to their guys because men know better than to ask ridiculous questions. This shows that men have some intelligence. I am humored that Tommy called out the reality of the situation to his girlfriend. Calling a spade a spade is an attribute worthy of my respect. Just try and do it with a little more tack and class, guys. Who really wants to be patronized? Unless of course I am feeling fat and make a ridiculous inquiry, then you better lie through you teeth (or again be prepared to lose them). Your ass better not go there! |

Contraception is Abortion ?!?!
First - let me say, not only am I pro-choice, which I am, because I think that people should be able to live how they please, provided they aren't infringing on the rights or liberties of others. This is why I think we need environmental protection laws, because we all share the planet and people who pollute are hurting me, infringing upon my liberties, but I don't think we should ban smoking or even make recreational drugs illegal, even though I do neither and think both are horrible and actually judge negatively people who make use of them. While I don't like them and think people who smoke or do other recreational drugs are making bad decisions, it is their life, if they want to ruin it - that is their choice. More on that in other writings though.
No - I am not just Pro-Choice, I'm Pro-Abortion in general, as well as any other contraception. More on this in other articles too, but the gist is that I am "Pro" anything that helps reduce the creation of new humans. I am all for keeping the ones who happen to already be alive around - I'm anti War, and pro humanitarian aid, and social medicine and housing/education for the poor and diplomacy and tolerance for all people. Basically - if you ARE alive, I want to give you the best life you can have, and have us all live together in peace and harmony, but for the unborn, I figure - don't make any more until you actually need them... more on that later and below.

Sometimes we can do things that can influence another's life in such a beautiful and positive way. This video above was the winner of the Cannes film festival short story category for 2008. It is about how a Mexican businessman passing by a blind man looking for compassion did a whole lot better for the handicapped man with a simple stroke of a pen. Below is another example of a lovely gesture that did not turn out as well. I hope it helps to open your eyes and makes you think a little.
A blind girl hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her.
She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I would marry you."
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
He asked her, "now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: "Take good care of your eyes, my dear, before they were yours, they were mine."
This is how the human brain often works when our 'status changes'. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Superized Simpon Characters
This summer we have been treated to some amazing summer blockbuster movies. Alot of these movies have been comic book movies featuring our favorites super heros. An amazing artist named Dean T. Frazer has gone and turned many of these characters, heroes and villians into simpsons characters. Check out his amazing work here.

Recently - someone who I know found out I'm a big fan of Barack Obama. As he didn't know this shows that while we know each other, we are not very close in touch or know each other very well. Nevertheless, he emailed me saying, "I know it's probably tough to talk down Obama in NY, but Obama?". That was all I needed to start the train rolling down the track. I mean - "Why Obama"?!? "Why not" is not a good enough answer that's for sure.. Not for the way I feel - so began my "Why Obama" rant....
Well, I hope it is tough talking down Obama. And not just in New York, but everywhere. Not everyone needs to support him, I only care that a clear majority in each state supports him, or such a quantity as necessary to ensure that he gets an undisputed amount of electoral votes. And as for being a FAN of Obama, this isn't a new track for me, not some kind of fad. It is funny, when I heard Hillary was running, I was initially a supporter of hers. I remember saying how cool it would be to have another Clinton in the White House and of course, I think Hillary was behind many of the best parts of the last Clinton presidency anyway.
But - shortly after hearing Obama make his case, I was hooked and the more I learned the more I was a fan. I joined up with Obama mania long before he was the clear choice. I was on the Obama band wagon even before Biden or Gravel dropped out.

"Hi there" from an Athiest. And I'm your totally flaming, flamboyant, totally out atheist. I am liberal, I respect life and people and other cultures, and I have gay friends and I hope they all get to get married, and I don't plan on having kids myself and I live with someone and we're not married, and I want universal health care and an end to the war in iraq and I support alternative and sustainable energy production and am opposed to burning fossil fuels, and I'm an environmentalist.
I also am relatively educated, and I apply reason and the scientific method, am skeptical and only "believe" in that which is empirically provable.I am not an angry athiest, nor do I belive in astrology or wicca or magic or the christian devil (whatever name christians give that imaginary being) - because, like I said, I am an athiest. I don't believe in any of the many hundreds of various gods that have been worshiped in human history, I don't just not believe in yours to piss you off or because I'm unamerican or not patriotic, in fact, I'm very proud to be an American, and very patriotic and love this country dearly (which is why I'm always trying to save it - even from itself - as any true patriot from John Adams and George Washington on up would do).

Has anyone seen the 2 energy proposals out there - has any one paid attention to what the Republicans want to do?
What, is this even a question - are they nuts - no offense really - but - "tax breaks to oil companies for more exploration"?!?! - Oil Companies are making obscene profits - OBSCENE!!!! Not only do they NOT deserve any tax breaks, they need to be heavily taxed on their OBSCENE profits, AND that money needs to be used to subsidized home installations of solar electric and solar thermal collectors, heat pumps, energy optimization programs. We need to implement laws to foster plug in electric vehicles.
We must say no to any more offshore drilling - mainly because one has to be an idiot to think that it will help any time soon, or that it will have much effect at all once it comes on line, and because if one still wants to expand fossil fuel use instead of solar/wind/hydro and nuclear one's hopelessly ignorant of the major downsides of global climate change, particulate and green house pollutants, heavy metals in the water table, and soil, and the effects of global extinction events.
- Say no to offshore drilling
- Say no to tax breaks for oil companies
- Say yes to solar electric (both commerical/industrial, and residential)
- Say yes to solar thermal
- Say yes to plug in electric
- Say no to incandescent light bulbs
